The name says it all!

  • 1 1/3 cup warm water (100-120 degrees)
  • 1 packet rapid rise/ quick yeast (2 1/4 tsp)
  • 1 tsp sugar
  • 2 tsp sea salt
  • 2 1/2 cups high gluten pizza flour (you can use bread flour or ap flour as well)
  • 1 cup whole wheat flour
  • 1/4 cup olive oil

(forgot sugar in the picture)

In the bowl of a stand mixer*, combine the warm water, sugar, and yeast. Stir (with paddle attachment) in the salt and flour and mix on medium high speed  for 5 minutes. While the mixer is going, drizzle in the olive oil.

When the dough is soft and elastic, take out of the bowl, rub with olive oil and then place back in the bowl, cover with a dish towel and let rise for one hour. IMG_2267 IMG_2268

After the dough has doubled in size, cut in half to make two large pizzas or make 4 mini size. You could also refrigerate half in a sealed plastic bag for a few days, or freeze it for next week! IMG_2269 IMG_2270

When you are ready for your pizza, roll out the dough, cover with your toppings and bake at 450 for 10-13 minutes. If you prefer a crispy crust, preheat your pizza stone in the oven for 20-25 minutes while you make your pizza on parchment paper, then carefully slide parchment onto the pizza stone and bake.

When you take out of the oven allow to sit for 5 min before cutting. Enjoy!
